Will You Pay The Price?
Hi, this is Steve at Academy 55.
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you are in the world, whenever you're watching this short video.
Welcome to Steve's study, where I look at some of the things that might not be obvious, uh, first glance and try and fully explain them so that they become more obvious.
And this Steve's study video is based on a question that I had from a premium member who's just been with us as a premium member for a little over two months.
So at this point, they've paid for premium membership for just two months, and at the current price point, that's two times $97.
And they sent me this question today; they will remain nameless because this could be any one of us.
The question is,
I'm thinking that having followed David every day, I really don't see how much more I can learn as initial starting point, and I can't keep paying for Academy 55 with no return.
I feel pretty confident that despite having three failed free trials, it's time to go for a paid challenge. Good idea or not, or can't you say? I understand if you can't.
Now, it's pretty obvious in my mind that if you can't pass a free challenge, what is the likelihood of you being able to pass a paid one?
Now, we all feel inside that we become superhuman somehow. And of course, I would agree that when you've got money on the table, you've got skin in the game, so to speak; with a paid challenge, you are gonna focus 100% more because all of a sudden, you've got a responsibility to yourself not to lose that money.
I asked this person what challenge they were thinking of taking, and they said, a $10,000 challenge.
Now, a $10,000 challenge costs you 155 euros. So here's the reply that I gave to this person.
I said...
it's entirely up to you, of course, because it's your money that you're spending. But you need to weigh up the cost of Academy 55 indicator and the training and doing free trials versus the cost of taking a paid challenge and failing.
For example, if you remain an Academy 55 member for three more months, that would cost you three times $97, $291 in total, or about 225 pounds. Now, if at the end of three months doing more free trials, you still haven't passed a free challenge, then you probably never will, if you see what I mean.
But equally, after three months, you may be able to pass them in your sleep.
Now, this is what happened to me. I wasn't 100% focused when I was doing my free challenges in the early days. I was sort of half watching David, half watching messenger, half looking here and there at WhatsApp and so on and so forth.
And it was only after struggling for a couple of months, learning along the way for sure, but nevertheless, not managing to pass a challenge, that I finally realized, woke up to the fact that I wasn't 100% focused on the job that I was doing.
Then I turned off my phone, I turned off Facebook, I turned off WhatsApp, and all the distractions were gone. And now, whenever I sit down to trade, I am 100% focused. And guess what? I've passed the last two challenge absolutely in a breeze. Now, we're all individual, and you might not be able to do that, but trust me, getting focused changes a lot of things.
I then closed this out to this person to say, look, if you paid for a challenge, that's 155 euros, that's $165, 135 pound.
What you're doing if you do that today, having never even passed a free challenge, is you are basically hoping that you can pass. You're kind of crossing your fingers. And what's gonna happen then is this: you do a paid challenge, you fail that paid challenge, you're gonna throw the towel in; pretty obvious that that's gonna be the case.
You will have wasted the money that you've done spent on your paid challenge; that will be wasted, plus the month that you've paid with Academy 55. You'll then cancel Academy 55, understandably, and you know, all you've done is lost some money.
Now, education isn't free. Your time isn't free. It's valuable to you, and the tools that you've got and the training you get with Academy 55 are vitally important, but you must use them in the correct way.
And I closed out my reply to this person, um, and I believe this is a saying that came from a former Harvard professor, and the saying is,
If you think education's expensive, try ignorance.
So the lesson here is, in my view, that you should allocate yourself sufficient time to become skilled at whatever it is you're doing, whether it's trading here with Academy 55 and prop firms or anything else you do in life.
To expect to suddenly have success after a couple of months is probably not very realistic. Give yourself six months, at least in total, and take my tip to get a hundred percent focused on your trading.
Turn off all distractions. Always treat it as if it's real money, even when you're doing free challenges. Otherwise, you tend to start gambling.
And of course, as we always say, make sure you journal and document everything.
There is no point tricking yourself into thinking that you're cleverer than you are.
So we wish you all the success in the world.
Obviously, we know we are confident that every single person here as a premium member can focus and pass challenges.
That's what Academy 55 is all about. So with that being said, I thank you for your attention today.
I wish you goodbye, and I will catch you in the next video.
So goodbye for now.?
